Why the media do like this?

Why the very established channels like discovery and national geographic always viewing INDIA's poverty??? they are always doing that and repeating this all the time? what the hell they get from this? India is becoming strong and it's economy is growing, india is doing their best in space technology, note that india is the 4th nation in the world to do a moon mission? But why these channels are not seeing this? By viewing all these thing, people in the western countries are mistaken that india is still under developed??? ARE THESE MEDIA TRYING TO SELL INDIA'S POVERTY???
