What meter is in the poem?

Essentially, iambic dimeter. Hah! yahoo thinks that is a misspelling, I guess who ever set up their spell checker doesn't read a lot of poetry. Dimeter means the line has two feet. The pattern in this poem is two iambs per line with nice variations.
