I've just been to see Bruno--am I missing something?

The message of the film seems to be, "gays are shallow narcissists who spend their time doing disgusting things, southern whites are stupid, and blacks have a mindless victim-complex." The main message I got from the film is that "I, Sacha Baron Cohen, am an extremely clever and funny person and most other ppl are stupid." Am I missing something?
